The Linden gas discovery drilled by Elf Aquitaine in 1972 tested gas despite well control difficulties that resulted in considerable damage to the reservoir and compromised the flow rates achieved.  Ascent Resources appraisal of the original discovery will include a test programme designed to evaluate the extent of the reserves.
